Description

Maple Pass Loop: The time was right for Larch Madness in the North Cascades of Washington State, which typically starts in late September to early October. We headed out for a weekend in Winthrop, but stopped along the North Cascades Highway to hike the Maple Pass Loop. Though midweek, it was very busy, but still worthwhile. Not only were the larch at maximum, other foliage was, too, as this photograph attests.
